Typical breakfast/lunch for everyone, although Tuesday evenings can be a busy day with kids going to their activities and such. Instant Pot to the rescue!!
It was our 14 year old son’s turn to make dinner and he wanted to make stroganoff. It’s really an easy recipe and you can make it in the crock pot or instant pot. You can get the recipe here. We did have to run to the store to get some meat for it, but luckily the roasts were on sale buy one get one free! bonus! Now we have an extra one in the freezer for another meal.
The cost of this night’s dinner:
- Stroganoff- $14.30
- Green Salad (leftover) $0
Total cost for this day: $14.30
Running Total Budget for the 30 days used:
Groceries purchased: $456.45
Groceries used in meals: $148.48
Date Night: $74.33
Our budget for these 3 for the 30 days is: Groceries- $600, Date Nights- $100 & Pizza- $100 Since we may not use all the groceries purchased in this time, and will be using some things we have on hand already, we will be tracking both the running total of the best estimated cost of meals each day as well as the cost of groceries/date nights/pizza purchased during the 30 days.
