Why I have never thought of this idea until recently is beyond me!! While wanting to make some healthy snacks this idea came to me and let me tell you it turned out perfect!
This dip & “chips” is not only healthy, but refreshing too. Which makes it a perfect Summer time appetizer or snack.
- 2 cans of Tuna- drained
- 1/2 c. mayo
- 3 green onions- sliced thin
- 2 celery stalks- chopped small
- 2 T lemon juice
- 2-3 cucumbers- sliced
Mix together all ingredients except the cucumbers to make the tuna. You can make the tuna to your own preference & taste. Some people like garlic salt, some like mustard, there's no wrong way- it's however you like your tuna!
My grandma used to always cut the green onions and celery really small- that's a great way to get kids to eat them. Adding a little bit of lemon juice takes the fishiness out of the tuna.
Serve with the cucumber slices to be used as chips.
