This has been one of my favorite go-to recipes for brownies for years. It is almost next to impossible to not have it turn out. I’ve doubled it and it turns out fine. You can also add rolos & coconut to it (instead of frosting it) -those we call crack brownies!
I love making these with my chocolate coconut frosting (in the recipe).
- 1 c butter- melted
- 2/3 c, cocoa powder
- 2 c sugar
- 2 t vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t baking powder
- For frosting:
- 1 cube butter
- 1/2 package of powdered sugar
- 1/4 c cocoa powder
- 2 t coconut extract
- milk- to desired consistency. No more than 1/4 c
Mix all ingredients, pour into a 9x13 greased pan and bake at 350 for 23 minutes or until cooked through.
Mix all on high speed until smooth. If you want a thicker frosting add more powdered sugar, if you want it more thin add more milk.
Variations: Add rolos & coconut to the brownie batter before baking and omit frosting. You can also add nuts.
