This is THE BEST Quiche Lorraine recipe ever! In my family growing up it was a Christmas morning tradition to have quiche for breakfast. My mom had a pie dish that had the recipe on it, and although sadly the dish was broken years ago, we still make the recipe each year. It has become a tradition that I have kept as I’ve had my own kids.
I always make this with a store bought pie crust because making pie crusts is one of my least favorite things to make. I’ve also made them crustless and baked them in a muffin pan for min quiche’s- and if you’re doing keto this is a perfect recipe, just make it crustless!
- Cook 12 slices of bacon- crumble (or 1/2 c. of precooked crumbles)
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 1/3 c. green onions- chopped
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 t. sugar
- 1/8 t. black pepper
- 3/4 t salt
- 1 c. Swiss cheese- shredded
Mix all together and pour into an unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 350 for about an hour or until set. Cool and serve with salsa or ketchup if desired.
My mom would do different versions of this recipe using ham instead of bacon, or adding broccoli is good too.
