When the Take 5 candy bars came out years ago I thought they sounded like too much. Chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, and pretzels…..but then I tried one and they are SO good! A perfect balance of salty & sweet.
I recently to created this recipe inspired by the Take 5 candy bars- enjoy!
- 2 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 t. vanilla
- 2 t. salt
- 2 t. baking soda
- 6 1/2 c. flour
- 1 package of milk chocolate chips
- 1 package of peanut butter chips
- 1 package of caramel bits
- 1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
Cream the butter, brown sugar, sugar, and eggs then add the rest of the ingredients.
Roll into balls or use an ice cream scoop to put the dough on the cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8 minutes or until slightly golden.
This recipe makes a double batch which makes it easier to use a whole bag of the chips & bits. You can freeze the dough if you don't want to make up all the cookies at once. Just wrap it in wax paper or even a ziploc bag and freeze.
