It’s December, which means it’s the one month a year calories don’t count! (at least in my house) It’s the one month a year when I make some fun treats we don’t normally make, truffles are one of these treats!
This year I wanted to experiment with making truffles using Thrive Life freeze dried ingredients- the results turned out amazing!
The key to using freeze dried foods (usually fruits) in truffles is to blend them into a powder- or almost powder if you want chunks, first. Then remember that they will absorb some moisture as they rehydrate so take that into account.
The truffles made with Thrive Life ingredients turned out so delicious and fresh tasting we will definitely be using them again next year!
When making truffles there a lots of different recipes and techniques you can do. You can use any of these recipes or techniques to make different flavors. These truffles were made using 3 different recipes. (Raspberry & Blueberry ones were the same recipe) Depending on the ingredients you have on hand, cooking skill level, or just personal preference you can make any of these flavors using any of the recipes.
