I wanted to have something more than just stuffing….. sneaking in some veggies any way I can! Plus I have my new Thrive Life freeze dried products I wanted to experiment with so this is what I came up with- it was so good everyone really enjoyed it!
This is a perfect food storage recipe because all the ingredients are shelf stable- or could be. You could use powdered butter if you want. The pictures below show what it looks like before/after the freeze dried veggies absorbed the water.
- 2 boxes of stuffing mix
- 1 cup Thrive Life green beans
- 1 cup Thrive Life corn
- 1/2 cup Thrive Life onions
- 2 cubes butter
- 1 cup water
- Seasonings (I used garlic salt & Red Robin Seasoning)
In a frying pan melt the butter then add the veggies & water. Cook until the veggies are re-hydrated. In another pan boil the amount of water needed for the stuffing as per the box directions. Once the water is boiling add the veggie mixture and the stuffing. Mix well then cover and let sit for a few minutes.
