Apparently this is a Utah thing, and since that’s where I grew up I didn’t know other places didn’t eat fry sauce with their french fries. It’s easy, anyone can make it. There’s lots of different versions out there, some include buttermilk, some vinegar and other odd ingredients. The base for this recipe is really just mayo and ketchup, but you can get all sorts of fancy if you like. This is my simple & easy version.
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
You can alter the amounts of these 3 ingredients to your liking. I typically will do them in the following proportions 2/3 mayo, 1/3 ketchup, and 2 T of steak seasoning.
Mix all together and use to dip fries in, on hamburgers, etc.
