We first tried this soup a few weeks ago at a local sandwich shop and had to come up with our own copy cat version of it! My husband ordered it for me and honestly it isn’t something I probably would’ve ordered, but I’m so glad he did because it was seriously the best tomato soup I’ve ever had! I never would’ve thought to put sausage and gnocchi in tomato soup!
- 4 cans tomato soup
- 3 cans filled with milk
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 package of gnocchi
- 2 T dried basil
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
In a large stock pot, brown the ground sausage. Once the sausages cooked add the rest of the ingredients. Stir for about 10 minutes to let the gnocchi cook.
