This is one of the easiest ways to make gravy. The best part is this recipe can make just about ANY kind of gravy depending on how you switch out a few of the ingredients.
For sausage gravy, use sausage. Ham gravy? Use ham. Tuna, use tuna. For chicken, use chicken. And so on… If you want no meat, don’t add any.
Also, you can add different types of cheeses.
Gravy has a lot of uses- serve over rice, potatoes (mashed or cubed), toast, and even inside things like breakfast burritos.
Thrive Life makes some amazing sauce mixes. They are other ways you can alter this recipe- by using the béchamel, veloute, espagnole, cheese, or tomato sauce.
- 2 T Butter
- 1 1/2 c. Thrive Life Sausage Crumbles (or other meat)
- 4 c. Milk
- 2 c. Shredded Cheese
- 1/4 c. Thrive Life Bechamel Sauce Mix (or other sauce mix)
Melt butter, add sausage (or other meat) then add milk and cook for 3-5 mins. Add Bechamel mix and cheese. Cook until gravy thickens. Serve over toast, rice or mashed potatoes.
*Substitue sauce mix for different gravy’s- espagnole, veloute, cheese, tomato, etc.
