by A to Z for Moms Like Me

We were out of bread, and needed some potatoes to make french fries for dinner so this was a quick filler trip to the store. (and I wish I had known we were almost out of milk too, so there will be another grocery trip soon) While we were there we grabbed some tomatoes and cheap sliced cheese to put on our hamburgers. (I buy this kind of cheese maybe 2-3 times a year so it’s a real treat! It’s cheap, and probably processed like crazy, but sometimes it sounds good)

What we purchased:

  • 3 loafs of wheat bread $1.89 each
  • Bag of potatoes $3.99
  • Cluster of Tomatoes on the vine $1.88
  • 1 package of sliced cheese $2.99
  • 1 loaf of french bread $0.99

Total cost for this trip: $15.47

Running Total Budget for the 30 days used:

Groceries purchased: $389.65

Groceries used in meals: $134.18

Date Night: $74.33

Pizza: $49.38

Our budget for these 3 for the 30 days is: Groceries- $600, Date Nights- $100 & Pizza- $100 Since we may not use all the groceries purchased in this time, and will be using some things we have on hand already, we will be tracking both the running total of the best estimated cost of meals each day as well as the cost of groceries/date nights/pizza purchased during the 30 days.
