AUSSIE CHICKEN

This has been one of my family’s favorite recipes for years. It works well if you’re feeding a large group too. We’ve made it at a couple family gatherings we’ve hosted and it’s a recipe people ask for frequently. You can adjust the sauce to your family’s preferences- if you like it more sweet, more mustard, etc.

Serve over rice.

Aussie Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of chicken breasts- boiled & chopped
  • 2 c. mayo
  • 1 c. mustard
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1 c. karo syrup
  • 2 T dried onions
  • 2 cans mushrooms
  • 1 c. bacon crumbles
  • 2 c. shredded cheese

Instructions

Mix mayo, mustard, honey, karo, & onion together for the sauce.

In the casserole pan spread out the chicken.  Layer the mushrooms & bacon on top of the chicken.  Pour the sauce on top of everything.  Sprinkle cheese on top.  Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until cheese is melted.  Serve over rice.
