HOMEMADE DANISH

by A to Z for Moms Like Me

These are super easy to make and taste amazing! We make them for special breakfasts, holiday’s, and parties. You can use jam, pie filling, or make your own fruit topping with fresh fruit and a little sugar.

I never put the powdered sugar glaze on top, but you can easily make it and drizzle it on top if you like.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissant rolls
  • 16 oz of cream cheese (2 blocks)
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • Jam or pie filling

Instructions

Unwrap the croissant rolls but KEEP THEM IN A ROLL.  With a serrated knife cut them into 8 circles (like you would a cinnamon roll)  Place the circles onto a greased cookie sheet.  With your thumb press a dip into the center.

Mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.  Spoon a drop of this mixture into the cent of each roll.  Spoon a small amount of the jam or pie filling on top of the cream cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden.

Optional glaze:

Mix powdered sugar and water until a glaze consistency then drizzle on top of the Danish.

These look good. Have you used canned crescent rolls or bakery croissant rolls? I’m a bit confused.

I used the canned ones from the refrigerated section at the store.
