HOMEMADE MAC & CHEESE

by A to Z for Moms Like Me

Have you ever tried making homemade mac & cheese? Although Kraft mac & cheese brings back those childhood memories and is fun to have once in awhile, homemade tastes so much better & is better for you! You can use your favorite types of cheese, blend a few different kids, etc. For this batch I added in a few sliced cheddar bacon sausages we had in the fridge & a can of fiesta nacho cheese I found in the pantry (picture below from the store) this gave it a little bit of a kick but not too spicy for the kids. Whenever I make this my family loves it and will always eat it well, including leftovers.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of pasta (I used large elbow macaroni)
  • 1 can of fiesta nacho cheese
  • 2-4 c. of your favorite cheese (depending on how cheesy you like it)- shredded
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 cheddar bacon sausages- sliced

Instructions

In a large pot, cook the pasta in water until it's to your desired texture.  Drain out the excess water and add the can of fiesta nacho cheese, shredded cheese, sausages and milk.  Stir all together until well mixed and serve.

Notes

You can omit the can of nacho cheese and just use shredded cheese & milk.
