Even if you’re not a big fish fan, you will probably enjoy this recipe. Tilapia is the chicken of fish- it doesn’t have a real strong fishy smell or flavor and it takes on the flavors of the food it’s cooked with. (just like chicken, zucchini, & apples)

This time we served the Tilapia with brown sugar green beans.

  • Tilapia Fillets
  • Rice- cooked (to serve with fish)
  • 1/2 c. mayo
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. parmesan cheese
  • 2 t. garlic & herb seasoning
  • 2 t. onion salt

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Mix together: Mayo, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, and seasonings together to make a sauce and set aside.

Place Tilapia fillets on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil (easy clean up).  Bake for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip each fillet over and bake for 3-4 minutes on the other side.  Once both sides are white or mostly white spoon the  sauce on top of each fillet and bake for another 4 minutes or until the sauce starts to get golden and cheese is melted.

Serve over rice.

I have used different seasonings including garlic powder/salt, onion powder/salt, garlic & herb seasonings, & parsley flakes. All taste great!
