This is a nice refreshing summer salad, the perfect healthy side at a BBQ. You’ll want to remember to make it a few hours ahead of time so the peas have time to defrost.

Pea Salad

  • 2 bags of frozen peas
  • 1 c. mayo
  • 1/2-1 red onion- diced small
  • 1/2 c. bacon crumbles
  • 1 c. shredded cheese
  • Seasonings of choice


Mix all together and set aside for peas to defrost before serving.  


Cheese- you can use any kind of shredded cheese you like. We usually use Colby Jack Bacon Crumbles- you could use bacon bits if you want, but I prefer the chewy crumbles (we buy them at Costco) Seasonings- Salt & pepper are a must. I usually will throw a little garlic powder in too and sometimes seasoned salt. Onion- you can use other onions, we just prefer the red onion.
