You’ve probably seen this picture on Pinterest for Beef with Broccoli Recipe, maybe even pinned it. Well I finally tried it! It’s a crock pot recipe and SUPER easy. One of the things that deturs me from crock pot recipes is when you have to cook something first before putting it into the crock pot….. umm hello? doesn’t that defeat the point of a crock pot ONE dish, throw it in and forget it meal?!?!? Since this recipe didn’t require that (unlike some Chinese recipes for the crock pot) I was game for trying it.
Ingredients
- 1 cup beef broth (I did bullion & water)
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 T. sesame oil
- 1 T. minced garlic
Instructions
Add all of that with the beef in the crock pot and mix it up a little. Cook on low for 5 hours, or I did on high for 2 1/2 hours. Then take about 1/4 cup of the sauce from the crock pot and add 2 T corn starch.
Mix them together well then add back into the crock pot. At this time add your broccoli. (frozen or fresh)
Cook for another 30 minutes or until the broccoli is cooked.
Enjoy!
