Another Summer cooking experiment as we try to use our crockpot more was Jambalaya! This turned out pretty awesome and by just throwing everything into the crockpot it was so easy! If you like food from the South you’ll want to try this one out-

Ingredients

  • Jambalaya boxed mix (2 boxes)
  • chicken
  • beef smokies

Instructions

Another Summer cooking experiment as we try to use our crockpot more was Jambalaya! This turned out pretty awesome and by just throwing everything into the crockpot it was so easy!

If you like food from the South you'll want to try this one out-
In your crockpot put everything the box calls for (I used 2 boxes pictured)
You can do whatever types of meat you like, I used chicken and cut up little beef smokies. It will look something like this at first. Turn the crockpot on high and stir occasionally for 4 hours.

Then you will end up with something looking like this picture below-
It sure was good! Most of my kids really enjoyed it- or at least some aspect of it.
