A few months ago I was introduced to Fire Cider, after impressive results it’s getting shared here for you to try!
What is Fire Cider?
It’s basically a combination of every home remedy you’ve probably ever heard of for a cold or flu. It’s made with all natural ingredients and is safe to take with the only exception I’ve found is if spicy food gives you heartburn you may not want to take it.
Is it safe?
It’s all natural ingredients means you can’t really take too much of it. That being said, it does have a VERY strong smell and flavor, not necessarily bad, but strong. So taking too much may not be an issue! Honestly I think it smells and tastes pretty good- kind of like a curry, so it doesn’t bother me, but I still take it like a shot and don’t swish it around my mouth.
There’s a reason it’s called FIRE CIDER!
It will give a good burn in your throat for about 5 minutes. I’ve been told it’s similar to an alcohol burn but since I don’t have experience in that area you’ll have to judge for yourself.
Here’s the video on the ones I’ve made:

Instructions
*There really is no set recipe or amounts. The key is to use what you have available and adjust to your own personal taste. There are all sorts of variations out there from fruity to savory to spicy and everywhere in-between.
If you use something for colds & flus go ahead and add it in! Use fresh ingredients if possible, but a ground or powdered version is better than nothing.
Cut up the items (I cut larger chunks so it's easier to strain later) and place into your jar. (except the honey) Pack it as full as you can get it then pour the apple cider vinegar on top until it fills the jar. Place a lid on the jar and let it sit for 4-6 weeks.
Shake it every day or as often as you remember. After 4-6 weeks strain the vinegar from the chunks and add honey (optional) what's left is what is now your "fire cider" Throw the chunks away or feed them to your chickens.
Store the fire cider on your shelf, or in the fridge, it's up to you- some people like to drink it chilled but since it's mostly vinegar it doesn't need to be refrigerated.
When sick with cold or flu symptoms, take 2 Tablespoons of the fire cider 2-3 times a day.
