Believe it or not, until this experiment I had never made a tater tot casserole. My mom didn’t make them when I was growing up, so I only even tried it a few times at potlucks and other places. My husband is a huge fan of tater tots. (Post-lord of the rings we can’t say taters in our house without saying “taters precious”) So I finally figured I should try making one of his favorite casseroles.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of peas & carrots
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
Instructions
Pour the mixture into a casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese on top, then arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
You could change up the veggies, or not even add meat. This is a cheap meal that is filling and can cover a lot of the food groups at once!
Plus it's a great way to sneak in some veggies for the kids. And it'd make a good freezer meal. Enjoy!
