It had been a LONG morning dealing with car issues, but we were finally all fixed up and ready to get on the road! I had purchased some Chili’s gift cards before our trip to use for the trip so we went to Chili’s for lunch.
Because it had been such a long morning, kids had behaved so well, and we had $125 in gift cards pre-purchased, we let all the kids order whatever they wanted. We got 2 orders of chips & salsa and 1 order of the spinach queso. Because I’m a rewards member (free) I get free chips & salsa every visit. Here’s everything we ordered for all 8 of us:

As you can see we were way under budget for the $125 in gift cards I purchased in advance. Which means we have them for a date night for my hubby & I to use in the future!
Although we love Chili’s, this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had there. The waitress literally was at our table to take our order, fill our drinks ONCE, and then bring us the check. There was another guy helping her that brought out our drinks & food, and he was the one we had to ask for silverware after our food was delivered and we realized no one had silverware to eat with. Our drinks were empty most of the time and the service was just horrible overall. Needless to say we didn’t tip what we normally do and even leaving a tip we did felt like we were getting ripped off. I’m just glad that our local Chili’s is not like that!
One of our favorite things about going to Chili’s is if you order chips & salsa (which we get free for being a rewards member) you can take home a bag of chips & salsa too!! It’s pretty much against the law in our family to leave Chili’s without chips & salsa. So even after this lunch we left with 2 bags of chips & 2 containers of salsa to bring home with us.
