This was seriously THE BEST Turkey I have ever had!! My husband is the best when it comes to grilling/smoking food.
So here’s his recipe and instructions as best as possible. He’s as bad as I am when it comes to cooking and just does a little of this or that, never measuring anything. That’s cooking with your heart!
After trying turkey cooked this way we are for sure smoking our Thanksgiving turkey this year!
- Turkey Breast
- 1 cube butter
- Garlic & herb seasoning
Butterfly the turkey breast. Have the butter at room temperature and add the seasoning to make a paste. Rub the turkey breasts with the butter mixture. Put in the smoker at 225 degrees.
Rub more butter on the turkey breast every hour or so. (basically basting it)
Cook for 30 minutes per lb of turkey or until the inside temperature reaches 165 degrees.
