Oatmeal Apple Dessert

by A to Z for Moms Like Me
Oatmeal Apple Dessert

When the weather turns cool, this warm Oatmeal Apple Dessert is the kind of cozy treat that makes the whole house smell like fall. It comes together with just a handful of pantry staples, butter, oatmeal, brown sugar, and cinnamon, spooned over tender baked apples until bubbly and golden. Think of it as a quick apple crisp without the fuss.

It is wonderfully flexible: use whatever apples you have on hand (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp both work beautifully), and add a pinch of nutmeg or a handful of chopped pecans if you want a little extra warmth and crunch. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt for an easy weeknight dessert the whole family will ask for again.

Fall is here and nothing says Fall like a delicious cooked apple dessert! The other night I invented this Oatmeal Apple Dessert and it is fantastic! Plus since it has oatmeal that makes it a little more healthy right?
